WE HOPE YOU HAVE THE MOST AMAZING MEMORIES to take with you from your big day! After 13 years, I still remember vividly walking down the aisle, a sweet moment during the ceremony where I turned to look at my bridesmaids and they all went from simply watching to beaming smiles back at me, and our beautiful cake. But just recently, after moving into our new house, we came across a box of wedding pictures and were reminded of memories that we had forgotten: people that attended that we haven’t seen in years, the huge dance party that we had after cake, and little decor details that I had forgotten about and had taken the time to hand-make. So yes, you will take the memories with you, but don’t underestimate how precious your wedding photos will be to you later in life.
Recently, we heard a wonderful story about a couple that did miss out on capturing these fleeting moments on camera and their story of a “Take-Two Photo Shoot” to recapture their love. — NK
THIS ISSara AND Gannon’sSTORY
“If I could give any advice to engaged couples, I would say to invest in your photography.
If you have a tight budget, try to cut in other places so you can get quality and professional photos. Find a photographer who can truly capture your love and the emotion of your big day.”
“After being married for eight years we were given the opportunity to have new wedding
photos taken of us. I was super excited because I always knew I wanted to renew my vows
or take new wedding photos. When we arrived to take our new photos, I wasn’t sure how to act. It was not my wedding day and I was not doing a vow renewal. I was afraid we would
have to use some amazing acting skills to put emotion into the photos.
Initially, our photographer started posing us. However, once we got comfortable the posing
came naturally and our personalities started to come out.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed all the vendors who participated in the photoshoot. From the cake
to the decor, the scene was perfectly set. If we do get the chance to renew our vows I will be in contact with all of them. The photographer truly captured the special connection we have had since we were teenagers. I am forever thankful to have these new photos because
they’re an amazing tribute to the love we share.”
