ASHLEY & ALEX ARE TWO PEAS IN A POD — a couple with quirks, spunk and love for DIY projects. Attending the 2017 South Sound Wedding Show, they found Krystal Switzer with South Sound Weddings Photography to be a perfect fit, along with an eye-catching flyer in their wedding show bag for Capitol City Barn.
Ashley and Alex, were interested in a barn wedding; so with flyer in hand, they visited the venue in Tumwater and fell in love. Together the couple spent endless hours color dying and designing all the wood floral arrangements including bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres.
Weddings can be centered around the couple, friends, culture, or a fun party; however for Ashley & Alex, it was all about family. Ashley’s mom designed and made their wedding cake, her father made arrangements to “wheel” his daughter around the dance floor (Ashley’s father is permanently disabled), and her late sister stayed close in a beautiful urn necklace. Alex’s father and best man, stood handsomely together for both family and wedding party photos. Ashley & Alex attended the 2018 SSWS as well just prior to their wedding date for last minute wedding needs, such as makeup and accessories before their big day.
