A Wedding + A Sendoff:
Wyona AND Nathaniel
PHOTOGRAPHED + SUBMITTED BY RACHELLE ERICKSON PHOTOGRAPHY
HIGH SCHOOL SWEETHEARTS, Wyona and Nathaniel, married on a beautiful spring day at Oakbrook Golf Club. Just before their wedding day they received news of Nate’s army transfer to Georgia. The couple would have to pack for their cross country move while planning their wedding. The upcoming move made the time with their guests on their wedding day that much more meaningful. It would be the last time they would spend with a lot of those family and friends in a while. The wedding day began with the bride and bridesmaids getting ready at Hotel Murano in Tacoma. Many custom touches were noted throughout the hotel room such as personalized robes and hangers. JVC Florals surprised Wyona with a stunning bouquet tied with hand dyed satin ribbon from Ukraine.
Their family and friends filled the ceremony space, adorned with a triangle arbor and modern floral arrangements. So much love was present as Nate and Wyona shared their vows and excitement of starting their new life together. The ceremony ended with the couple taking a selfie before walking back down the aisle. After cocktail hour on patio, Wyona changed into a designer lace party-dress and Valentino pumps. Family and friends shared heartfelt toasts and snacked on a special assortment of desserts homemade by Wyona’s aunt and traditional Guam cookies. She and Nate danced the night away with their wedding party and close family. The reception was upbeat, fun, and included Wyona spinning music on their DJ’s, Digital Hitz, turn tables. The party ended in a sendoff with glow sticks. We later found out Wyona would also be glowing as her and Nate welcomed a baby girl shortly after moving to Georgia.
