Shiny objects that catch light and sparkle in the dark are very popular at evening weddings and receptions. Crystals and clear or colored glass gems are used in a variety of creative ways, such as hanging from cupcake stands or small bare-branched trees and sprinkled on reception tabletops.

Northwest and natural elements

The Northwest natural look is becoming popular with couples who want a more organic look to their décor. A beautiful yet simple natural decoration is birch bark, available from florists. It comes in a cylinder shape, so a vase can be inserted inside and filled with greenery or flowers. For centerpieces, use a slice of a tree with the bark as the base and then incorporate moss and flowers.

Add feathers to your centerpieces, bouquets and to your hair ornament, to bring in more natural elements.
