Seattle auction for engaged couples raises funds.
At the swanky Arctic Club in Seattle, engaged couples and top-notch wedding professionals gathered for the Get Hitched Give Hope annual event in late October. Wedding professionals donated wedding-related items for a silent and live auction. Engaged couples bid on the items, and left that evening with great deals. Rachael and I wore our best party dresses for the event. We sampled all the delightful appetizers and desserts. We visited with many of our photography friends who were volunteering: Julie Watts, Bill and Erin from Mode Weddings and Dinea from Dinea dePhoto. We chatted with Gayle O'Donnell from All About Weddings, and other Seattle area wedding professionals. We visited with Brenda Chovanak, our dear friend from Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation, and she introduced us to the evening's organizers. Thanks to everyone who helped and bought items because $35,000 was raised for Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation -- to grant wishes to those with stage IV cancer. Wow.
